I think the one I liked most was Michael Ciftci who is running for a citywide District 3 seat. He’s one of the young guns. He spoke with that sincere emotion of an evangelist right before he hands out the collection plate.

Retired Air Force General Lloyd “Fig” Newton has endorsed Michael Ciftci (a friend and client) for Tampa City Council.
Michael Ciftci raises 13K for Tampa City Council race
Michael Ciftci’s city council campaign took in more than $13,000 in cash and in-kind contributions during the most recent quarter of the fundraising calendar. The effort began with Ciftci’s formal entrance into the race in November and ended on December 31. According to campaign manager Chris Sierks, the campaign raised $13,055 in cash contributions. Ciftci spent $3,110, leaving his campaign with nearly $10,000 left on hand.

Michael Citfci, founder of the nonprofit United for a Sustainable America, is considering a run for the Tampa City Council. Ciftci, who previously worked as government affairs director for Phillips Development, the company headed by Republican activist Don Phillips, said he’ll run for the city wide District 1 council seat now held by Gwen Miller.
